GENERAL MEETING
LOCAL LODGE 63
MARCH 11, 2006
President Stacy Breunig called the meeting to order at 10:10 AM. The pledge to the flag was followed by a moment of silence.
Roll call was taken and all were present except John Kleiboeker who was excused. Rita Derrick and Kathy Wing were absent.
EXECUTIVE BOARD REPORT
The minutes from the March 8th executive board meeting were read. Approved recommendations of the board were:
To contribute $1.00 per year per member to the 2006 IAM Scholarship Program.
To send one person to the Community Services Training.
To contribute $300.00 to the Red Hots – David Douglas Softball Association.
To contribute $750.00 to the UFCW 555 Golf Classic.
To contribute $750.00 to the 17th Annual Labor Bowl Challenge.
To contribute $300.00 to the 14th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ Food Drive.
To purchase 20 Harley Davidson raffle tickets for the 4th Annual “Unions for Kids” poker run.
MS/C to accept the report as read.
FINANCIAL REPORT
S/T Pat Maloney read the financial report for the period 2/1/06 thru 2/28/06.
MS/C to accept the report as read.
The applications for HWC were read. MS/C to grant withdrawals to those as read.
COMMUNICATIONS

COMMITTEE REPORTS
DBR Bob Petroff reported on activities at Boeing and some changes in retirement laws. Also reported on some political activities at NOLC and the importance of becoming a MNPL sponsoring member.
Denise Gorman from the Machinists/Boilermakers Credit Union spoke on the services they have to offer members.
Scott Lucy reported on negotiations with City of Portland, Kraft, Franz and City of Vancouver.
Joe Kear reported on the upcoming High Performance Work Organization presentation and other activities at Freightliner including some safety problems.
Phil Dilsaver reported on negotiations with Resources Management and an arbitration at Crown Cork & Seal.
Rick Thompson reported on political activities with CLC of SW Washington.
Richard Martin said there were eight bylaw proposals presented that will have the first reading in April.
OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS
MS/C to pay lost time for Rick Thompson to attend CLC of SW Washington meetings to interview political candidates.
GOOD OF THE ORDER
A drawing was held for MNPL.
There being no other business to come before the lodge the president adjourned the meeting at 11:05 AM.
